You’re Not Listening is an interactive podcast that teaches you how to actively listen to music, one song at a time. If we can get one person to hear a song they think they don’t like in a different way, and at the very least, appreciate it, then we consider that success.

Here’s how it works:

Every episode, each host will bring one song to the table that they would like to talk about. Before they start talking about their song, you can go listen to it from The Official YNL Podcast Playlist on Spotify then come back to the episode and hear what they have to say about it. Shaun and Jim will highlight what makes those songs great, through deep analysis of the music, lyrics, and message, as well as share any personal stories they may have in connection with these songs.

Songs highlighted on YNL can come from any genre, time period, or culture, and remember: Just because you’ve never heard a song, or think you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it isn’t great. Let YNL help you with that.

It’s a whole lot easier to live your life appreciating something than actively disliking it.
